Credit Suisse Goes After Wealthy Californians, Taps Citigroup for Position

Credit Suisse has opened a new private banking office in Orange County, California, and appointed Chad Evans from Citigroup to run the office. The Swiss bank plans to target the advisory needs of wealthy individuals and family groups in the area, which is one of America’s richest counties. At Citigroup, Mr Evans dealt with the ultra-high net worth client base. Before joining Citigroup, he was an investment advisor at Kidder, Peabody, Hambrecht & Quist. At Credit Suisse, Mr Evans will report to Jeffrey Kiley, head of the bank’s private banking business in Los Angeles.
